About the CeCe Cares Pediatric Epilepsy Foundation

CeCe Cares Overview

The CeCe Cares Pediatric Epilepsy Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established by Peter, Sarah, and Reese Cunningham to address some of the specific issues families face during their struggle with pediatric epilepsy – comforting the child during their time of need and assisting their families with financial support. The Cunninghams identified these needs based on their own experiences with the disease. The foundation is named in memory of their daughter and sister, Cecelia “CeCe” Louise Cunningham. CeCe passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2010 of SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy) after a two year battle with Dravet Syndrome, a catastrophic form of childhood epilepsy.

Raising Money & Providing Support:

Instead of simply writing a check, we ask our donors to sponsor a CeCe Bear® for $39.99. Whether you sponsor one bear or 100 bears, approximately one third of the proceeds will go towards providing the 22-inch CeCe Bear® to kids for comfort during a hospital stay, while the balance of proceeds will be applied towards helping families burdened with the high cost of medical care.
